The new slope 60 from the Versettla cable car mountain station down to the valley of Gaschurn, with its length of 7.5 km, enables almost unlimited skiing pleasure! A modern snowmaking system ensures and guarantees snow, so that you can ski down a perfect slope to the Alte Talstation.

High standards and great responsibility
In order to guarantee the conditions for the competitiveness of winter sports, i.e. the snow reliability, modern snow machines have been installed. A commitment to the principle of purity has been made in this area: only water and air will be used for the snowmaking. The construction of the new Gaschurn valley descent ensures the ever-important guarantee of snow, which enables the tourism industry to offer guests a reliable, high-quality skiing experience from December onwards.
Even more appealing valley descent
“Up until now, there has been only one ski route to the valley and no continuously prepared descent,” explains Martin Oberhammer, CEO at Silvretta Montafon. The existing descent was onlyaccessible for a few weeks during the winter season. What’s more, the new, continuously prepared piste is also viewed as an appealing alternative in bad weather, since it leads through several sections of forest. This makes it a great option if the weather at the top of the mountain is bad or visibility is restricted, since the new valley descent is partly protected against exposure to the weather.
A pleasant side effect of the new downhill valley run: the waiting times at the Versettla Bahn associated with the valley descent are thus a thing of the past.
And what is the best way to round off any eventful day of skiing? With a cosy stop for a bite to eat, of course. The Alte Talstation is located directly next to the new valley descent. With outstanding food and great beverages, as of now an authentic ‘pit stop’ in the Alte Talstation really is the crowning point of any active day of skiing. With DJ sounds included at the eight metre-long Valülla Bar or on the sun deck.
