In year 1988 the construction work on the Areitbahn from Schüttdorf up to Areitalm started. Now, after 29 years of service and 25 million carried guests, the lift is going to be replaced by the modern areitXpress.
The new areitXpress offers the guests more comfort and quality. The gondolas welcome the guests with more legroom and more comfortable seats. In addition, ground level boarding and WiFi contribute to more comfort while going up the mountain. Moreover, the new areitXpress has a 50% increased capacity, which means less waiting time and more skiing time for snowsport lovers.
The perfect opportunity to test the new areitXpress is the of December 2017 opening weekend from the 8th to the 10th on the Schmittenhöhe.
